It won’t help that I started Sons with three seasons ready to go. Starting this from s1 ep 1 may drag.

I don't know. The final season of SoA sort of spoiled it all, for me anyways.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

All they gotta do is do the same show as SoA

Except Adama is Peggy this time around. viola formula for success.

What did everyone think? It took a little while for me to get into it, but I think it has potential.

Nice to see those cameos.

Not to excited about the undercover shit so I’m hoping that doesn’t ruin this. If your gonna do a biker show do a damn biker show.

I'm almost caught up. I like it, but I want to like it. I'm not sure if it will last.

It got a second season. I've found it very underwhelming however. There's a lot of different story lines going on concurrently, none of them all that compelling. I guess the reveal of Edward James Olmos' character's past as formerly working for the police in Mexico, and doing baaaaad things has been the most interesting part so far. I can see that going to some dark and dangerous places (as it looks like it might). And maybe Angel getting involved with that former ex special forces/Blackwater type psycho could turn up the excitement, but yeah, it's been 'meh' for me so far. I suppose a main character will die by the finale so the show can stay 'edgy'. My money is on CoCo eating it, as the MC leaders thinks he's up to something else (thanks to Chucky) other then dealing with family issues. But yeah, unless the show gets focused and better, I can see my self dropping it before or about sometime during Season 2.

I’m up to date and still in. It’s holding my attention generally. It fills the dark n gritty space in my tv watching that Breaking Bad and SoA used to fill, if imperfectly.
It bugs me that Angel appears to be an idiot... if he was more competent his whole plot would seem more relevant. Emily and EZ just seems gratuitous, like the show thought it needed a complex romantic subplot. I worship Edward James Olmos but most of his scenes feel like filler.
Bishop and his circle could use some more screen time, they utterly suit the parts. EZ could be a little more interesting but overall he’s a good protagonist. Not Jax but that’s probably a good thing. I like Coco but fear his this show’s Juice. The cross border elements are fun, and I like the interplay with the Galindo cartel.

I wish they would stop with the animals. It's not working, it's not cool, it's not remotely shamanistic or whatever the fuck they're going for.

Up to current with the latest episode. Wow, those CGI effects on the live feed showing Galindo's operational locations being destroyed were terrible. Like local used auto seller budget for cheesy commercials terrible.

Some of these side stories they are using to fill in an hour + of content can go (it just distracts from the true heat of the meat). Coco and his porn star daughter and his mother for one can be cut from the show, imo. Although the daughter is a smoke show. Slutty and horny AF too.Posted Image

Coco is going to be the Juice of this series, mark my words.

...relatedly, was neat to see the Sons, even briefly and not Redwood but another chapter.

At least it wasn't...

"Y'all be drivin with a busted tailight."
"No we aren't."
*smash*
"Yes, you is. On your knees, hands behind yer head."

....but seriously, that was about as contrived as it gets... courtesy of yet another fucking CGI animal of the week.

Fortunately the ep was otherwise strong, tho i find it a little odd that in a show called MAYANS MC, the Galindo plotline is getting as much time as it is. Other than EZ, Coco, and arguably Angel, I can't recall the name of anyone on a bike other than Alvarez and Bishop. The MC are more or less pawns between Galindo, the fed, and the 'rebels'. It's kind of an odd way to run the show. The bit with Riz and his tunnel just barely made Riz into an actual character.

...of course, if that's because at the end of the season most of them are going to die in a glorious firefight leaving EZ, Angel, and Coco to rebuild under harsh scrutiny from Alvarez, i'd be ok with that.

Fun to see agent Potter again. He was great in SONS and i always felt like his plotline was cut short.

Yeah, the broken tail light was stupid. Could see that coming from a mile away. And EZ and Angel being either weatherd MC members or someone with an ivy league education and a photographic memory, it would not have been something they would oversee and be stupid enough to be caught by. Dumb writing.

And about the episode, oh gee rats are the theme this go, cause yipee, all the 'rats' were exposed. Wow, what a shattering and ground breaking concept. Mind fucking blown. Writers should def get some award for the episode. Posted Image

- Obviously, Galindo is going to accept the leader of the rebel's (Adalita?) deal now (said something to the effect to his wife about a 2,000 strong army or something) Cept now the rebels got Bishop Asshole sending the top Galindo goon after her and the resistance. So I guess Galindo will need to sort that out?

- Also, I guess EZ will escape being found out by the MC? Because only Galndo's wife saw that pertinent info when Potter was interrogating them?

- Not sure why pops was so emotional when DEA agent working with EZ said he was off / can't continue on the case. Any you guys know why?

- Coco's daughter is totally (at a min.) giving Chucky hjs for being her personal escort (she's probably doing more though. Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image)

Don't know many of the MC members myself. I do recognize the actor who played the bad guy lead from the movie Apocalypto, the bad ass Mayan warrior leader that was chasing down the last slave survivor trying to get back to his wife and child.

The show (8 epis in) is still not really doing it for me, tbh. I dunno if I will be in for s2 unless it improves before the end of this season.

So dumb.

Yep. Which may actually be an interesting plot thread.

Obvious upcoming plot twist, she'll have to decide between betraying EZ to Miguel and letting EZ report something that Mig could use against the Feds.

I kind of got the sense Pops was seriously considering whether he would have to kill his nephew to protect his sons.

I'm in for now. It's interesting enough despite the flaws. It could go either way.

I think I'm only 1 episode behind now. I just watched the follow up to the broken tail light episode. So Angel knows about EZ's deal now.

Side note, that track in the episode from Murcielago is wicked! So fuzzy.
