@Gintokian Well, my dude, looks like our Stanley Cup nightmares are still in play. I think we'll be singing the blues if St. Louis can't get the job done.

I know this is a true nightmare. It also goes to show if the Leafs had just pulled it through and beat Boston in game 7 maybe they could be the ones in the stanley cup finals and not dirty douchebag boston.
Never thought I'd be cheering for St. Louis to win but desperate times eh

Not looking good. Boston takes game 1.
And holy snikeees. This happened.
On the bright side for Toronto, you have the privilege to get swept against Golden State in the NBA finals.

Eh it's game 1,hopefully the blues can come back. But damn yeah he's lucky he didn't get hurt or anything doing that without a helmet.
Even if the raps do get swept its still the furthest they've ever gotten so it's a win no matter what.

Well @Gintokian Blues tie it up. Best of 5 now. Next two on St. Louis' home ice. If they can protect home, have a chance? Fingers crossed.

Down to one game (series tied @ 3 each). In Boston on Wednesday and winner will sleep with Lord Stanley's Cup. I've my doubts St. Louis can take it on Boston's home ice. Anything is possible I guess. Come on, don't give me the blues, St. Louis!

I sorta remember last year you broke down for us what these awards recognize (I forget though). Can you tell us again?

Yo! @Gintokian! My dude, my guy, my swimmer from a different Jimmer!
Training camps open this week for the 2019/2020 season (damn, it's here already, time flies!). How you feeling about your Turdrauncho Nipplequeefs? I think you guys have an excellent chance this season. What say you? Oh hockey purest.

The 'secret everybody knows': Drugs like cocaine and molly becoming more popular in NHL
Seems a little conspicuous that this growing trend coincides with about the time this fella entered the league.

Uh, so the Winter Classic is being played in Texas, outdoors at the Cotton Bowl? Um, how is that possible? Won't the ice melt?
Damn, I wish my fellow hockey aficionado, @Gintokian, didn't quit the board and was still here to talk substantively and passionately about hockey. I'm thoroughly bummed he's not here to discuss the goings on in the NHL. Come back @Gintokian! The forum needs you!

NHL All Star Weekend hits the ice tonight. The game is tomorrow. Tonight is the skills contests. I like the NHL skills contests, definitely a much watch for me compared to the other sports' all star festivities (MLB, NBA, NFL).
Also, new this year (at least I think it is new), is an Elite Women's 3-on-3 contest: USA v Canada. Oh snap! Gonna watch our USA women destroy Can't-A-Duh, and come back here and talk massive amounts of shit to our regular Canadians on the forum. Gonna be fuuuun! and gonna get xtra spicy! ha!

New franchise in Seattle is going to be called the Kraken. What say you to this expedient news, oh wise sage of slippery, disc, beat-em-up? Methinks sales of rum will show an upswing as the team's opening ice celebration approaches.

Had to look it up, they (Dallas) won the cup in 1999. So go Lightning? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I don't have any skin in the game. But would be nice if Lightning got it, especially after being so dominant during the regular season last time and getting eliminated. Didn't they set or tie the record for # of reg. season wins?

Last season, yeah, I believe so. The President's Cup is a curse, lol. Boston had the best overall record this year and they're out.
I hope that punch in the mouth the Lightning took was about being far more tired than Dallas with just the single day off.
Vasilevsky, the alleged best goaltender in hockey (which I usually agree with) got flat out outplayed by Khudobin. That 3rd goal was SOFT
