It depends, I never got confirmation that IH actually took my deal to take my cruiser upgrade card. It does't look like it but all game long I've struggled with knowing what he is actually agreeing to or not.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

I didn't take the deal. Sorry thought that was clear your pm should have been updated with what I took from you.

The card is worth 2VP for IH, so there was no way he wouldn't take it. You should have kept mum about it.

Pretty much, I was spending my time working out who was most likely to have that action card!

So let's see: IH is going to be on 8, maybe 9VP at the start of next round, and we're going to let him pick Imperial and be in prime position to take Rex.
Ok, good thinking everyone!

At this stage its up to Tapper what he wants to do, Gnaw is offering his SFTT which is quite valuable to Tapper, it gives him an extra VP, yet it gives Gnaw a VP straight away and possible other objective too, with his low initiative Gnaw could win the game that round so then the SFTT is worth nothing. IH is also a contender for winning as well, as Khell, Morgoth and Twelve, if he gets his homeworld back. Safest bet would be to give Nico speaker, although I don't want imperial, i'd have to take it, unless Nico does.

1. I thought the negotiations are dead since Blend doesn't want in?
2. If not, then they are stalled until Nico responds?
3. I haven't even named anyone Speaker yet?
4. I can't let Twelve pick Imperial. I can't let IH take Imperial. I can't let Gnaw take Imperial. I can't let Morgoth take Imperial. Then, I can't let Twelve pick Politics to allow him to make himself Speaker and pick Imperial the round after. I can't let IH pick Politics to allow him to make himself Speaker and pick Imperial the round after. I can't let Gnaw pick Politics to allow him to make himself Speaker and pick Imperial the round after. I can't let Morgoth pick Politics to allow him to make himself Speaker and pick Imperial the round after. And essentially, I can't do the same with you, either.

1, 2. Last I saw that was what was being touted.
3. I realise that, otherwise I wouldn't even bother saying anything.
4. Sounds like you need to choose the least-worst option. Or extract promises from people not to take Imperial/Politics, as was also being touted at one stage.

So you need two people to pick up those two cards, but more importantly you want someone to take Imperial that is not Twelve, IH, Gnaw, Morgoth or Khell.
If you give it to anyone other than Nico then that person has to take Imperial to avoid the next getting it. Ie, Blend to stop IH, Me to stop Gnaw, You to stop Morgoth.
The advantage with you giving it to Nico is that both politics and Imperial can be picked.
Thoughts?

Tapper, the best I can probably do is 10vp and that's with imperial. I'm going to lose Rex and possibly my homeworld next round.
I'll give you my SftT to make me speaker. We both get an extra point on every one else that way.
Edit: and Tatts is in the best position to take Rex for the following round, so if you make him speaker he's likely to take politics to set up imperial for that round. Especially if the antiintillectual law is voted AGAINST.

I'm happy to agree not to take politics or imperial if someone else agrees to keep gnaw from getting either politics or imperial, but I'm not going to pay a ridiculous amount to do that, especially if Nico is looting everyone.

Check your PMs from a couple days ago - it says which card IH took (and your front PM was updated accordingly).

Very true. So as long as people are screaming at you why not gain a VP out of it?

Especially seeing as how Tatts is gearing up to do battle with fighters...
Either/and me or Morgoth. If me, he’s going to take my homeworld and end my game at whatever VP count I have when he does.
