Meh, I'm not angry so much as fatalistic. I'm not totally throwing away the tokens for no reason either - it demonstrates that I have nothing to play for next round (or the tokens to do it). People were suspicious of me wanting the Speaker token with the idea that Morgoth then goes last in picking a card, and now there'll be - I hope - less suspicion about that.

I realise i’m not objective here, but had this been over a table no way that would be ok.

It's fine but if it was over the table i would have been looking at the map and realized he would block my path and wouldnt have stood down my pds. Ill just reaseach the blue tech instead of the racial tech i was going to grab so I can still get my ships where I want them.

And after looking at the racial tech that allows me to gain 4 trade goods if a system that contains 1 of my ship is activated by another, I think I missed out on the potential of that tech. Morgoth we could have had a monster alliance working together with your need to gain tech and with me motivated to be attacked I would have loved to work with if I had realized the potential synergy between our 2 needs.

This was my thinking do. If it were a live game you wouldn't let someone change a PDS fire decision after the rest of a turn was completed, let alone 30 minutes later, whether the next player has gone or not.

Part of the game is making mistakes, or not.

I'm at work posting from my phone the map is a pain to pull up as is switching tabs. So I didn't look at it when I begrudgingly agreed to stand down. But I messed up again, I'll just deal with the consequences. It can be worked around so, I would have preferred to research my racial tech I'll do another and still be in prime position to do what I need to do next round.

If it hadn’t been for you quite early looking to be my main competitor I would certainly have loved something like that! Everyone else would have hated us though

I’ve got a friend in the hospital. She not only won’t let me take my phone in to the room with her, she made me promise to leave it at home so I wouldn’t be running off to the bathroom, cafeteria, etc to check it. Hence my absences.

Morgoth had three planets you could have targeted as well. That wouldn't have removed his support for the throne and he is your main competition.

Tatts, I think you fucked Nico over. You are still in the system he paid you to leave and he has 1 tactical action left (I think). If he doesn't have an action card to use to stall then he can't move to retake the system you had him pay 5 trade goods for.
