I think Gnaw recognized that I needed to do something with my fleet, and that friendship in a zero sum game will only take you so far. With two options the obvious answer was your homeworld, but if that had been taken off the table there wasn't much else for me to do but go for Mecatol Rex and aim for a victory that way.

Edit: I also wanted your tech. Shame you didn't get warsuns last round.

Deliberately didn't get war suns as I didn't think I would have the production to build one. Turned out to be a good call on more than one front. As for Gnaw as an attack option, had he allowed me to go first then chances are there wouldn't be a fleet or much of one to do him any harm as I was going to attack you. Though my plan didn't plan for you to get a second dread which really messed up those plans. Well even more when I couldn't go first. If people don't take shots at you this round I still think you are going to win.

@Tapper, I have considered it a few times, but I am not planning on doing so any time soon. If you'd have jumped up to 7/8 VP's I may have considered attacking you, but you're in a similar position to me right now. Hard to stop one of three players from winning next round.

Yes pretty much. I'm fucked so I need to figure out how to salvage something from this round. As I said I'm looking for trade goods and am looking for someone that is looking to turn a profit.
