I have 6 cases of speculative fiction books to give away.
These are comprised mostly of review copies I received in the last 12 months or so, as well as some novels that spent too much time in my "Maybe" pile. They include advance reading copies, hardcovers, trade paperbacks, and mass market paperbacks of fantasy and science fiction titles (in all subgenres). All told, I figure we're talking about close to a hundred books.
I usually donate them to local libraries, but I've also given them away to fellow SFF fans in the past and they were always happy to fill the trunk of their cars with boxes full of books!
Spring cleaning means that I need to get rid of them in a hurry, so let me know if you are interested and could get them off my hands in the near future.
Cheers,
Patrick

He's probably closest if anyone is. I could not manage the drive there. Cool offer though Pat.

Quick Pat, set up hidden cameras now and give us proof once and for all whether Abyss is a humanoid cat or a catanoid human!

A humanoid cat or a Catanoid human!
This is a philosophical quandary ill likely have to mull over for years to get a satisfactory answer...
How about i don't this one time...

I admit to being tempted, if only to meat meet Pat in parsley person and devour his brainzez and devour his brainzez.
That said, my TRP is ugly enough and more dead tree would just sit around being dead until i gave them to a needy 2hs or library anyways.
Also, i prefer the term 'sublime superior being'.

That's only about a 6-hour drive for me. Considering it...
The real question is — will they let me bring that many books back across the border, or will they be considered Massy Weapons of Destruction?

No the real question would be what place would you stop at for REAL Quebec poutine, and how much of it would you eat?

The city is a foodgasm in island form. If you're gonna do a six hr drive to Montreal, poutine is just where you start.

Amusingly, I was going to write that in as the answer on my post. Great minds!

But is the poutine the whole of the meal or are you accompanying that bad boy with some classic steamees or pogos?
Also, classic gravy-et-squeeky-fromage, or are we getting creative with an ital or some funkier creation that features, i dunno, lobster and stuff?
...i am SO hungry right now...

Last time I was in Quebec I had Poutine at a restaurant that was MASSIVE (like served in a giant Pho-like soup bowl)...and I doubt very much I'd have been able to eat anything else.
It was SO DELICIOUS.
Fuck, I love poutine.

Meat lovers' poutine.
Served in a large salad bowl.

Pat’s like “fuck these guys!” probably today after all that.
I can't resist a good poutine! I'm more of a purist, but when I'm in the mood for one of those "luxury" poutines I head out to Dirty Dogs for the Mac Attack poutine. Fries, cheese curds, gravy, 4-cheese mac and cheese, shallots, and bacon bits on top. It's like having a circus in your mouth! Google image it and you'll see what I mean!
Always go for the large one, even though I never finished it.

Ok i needs to know. Is la banquise the best poutine place in montreal or is there better?
cause la banquise was amazing (also had great beer selection)

La Banquise is okay, but more of a touristy spot or somewhere where clueless residents of the Plateau area go to because it's open 24 hours a day.
Their selection of poutine is quite good, no question. But it's pricy for what you get. The portions are not that big and can be quite expensive. But as far as taste goes, their poutines are good.

Pat I'll take the books off your hands. Just a small postage fee to send them to the UK, probably.
Send some poutine with it.
