Am wholly utterly sceptical about this, yet the decision to go with a plot around Adam Strange and Hawkwoman going back in time to pre-sploofy Krypton to save baby Superman ... i dunno... it's so sf crazy i almost have to watch.

We don't need this. There's already a show called Blue Planet.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

True, but unlike that show, a piece of trash fiction, this one is a documentary!
Screw you all, and have a nice day!

Needs 50% more tornadoes and 100% more sharks.
Tatts early in SH game: Hmm, so if I'm liberal I should have voted Nein to make sure I'm president? I'm not that selfish

Tatts later in SAME game: I'm going to be a corrupt official. I have turned from my liberal ways, and now will vote against the pesky liberals. Viva la Fascism.
When Venge's turn comes, he will get a yes from Mess, Dolmen, Nevyn and Venge but a no from the 3 fascists and me. **** with my Government, and i'll **** with yours

I've got it PVRed, and will hopefully watch tonight. I heard it was entertaining.

CAPRICA was a great show that was never allowed to get beyond its core premise/connection to BSG...I truly think if it had, it would have found great legs.

More so in the visual comparison. Showing the buildings in wide pretty shots. I would reco trying it out these past 2 episodes. Way way more good then cheese so far. Hopefully that keeps up. So far it’s made me wish I was more of a fan to have a better grasp on things. QT is probably getting a much better experience out of it then me. The pilot was down right awesome.

There is ALREADY so much cool obscure DC stuff in it, and aside from the whole "Superman's Cape Hourglass" thingie (that I assume is only for this season) it doesn't remotely feel beholden to the Superman brand specifically. Unlike Gotham, I'm not waiting for a young Clark (or even young Jor-El) to show up on this, so it's unfettered from the mythos enough to really stand on its own. The addition of fan fave character Adam Strange and its connotations (Rann-Thanagra War, Hawkman, and even GL!) makes perfect sense as to who would tweak Seg's goals to save his house line. It's very much Goyer's Krypton from MoS on display, but set through a TV glass (which helps rather than hinders it to be honest) and with the knowledge of what WORKS about Superman stuff (using the Williams theme and not the Zimmer score stuff). Solid characters played by solid actors. The show is shot in Ireland, and features Irish and British Directors and writers...which places it in a better category than your average CW or SyFy show to be honest.

And they (as noted above) have played Williams Superman theme three times now in the score...which...I don't have to tell you is awesome.

Anyways, great show so far. Can't wait to see where it goes. If they play their cards right, they could make this a multi-season show easily.

So are these characters made with show or have they been mentioned before in comics?

So far only Adam Strange and Seyg-El are comics characters.the rest have been added, including Zod’s Ancestors.
