Received a PM from 'hapedluh' subject: Discounts! 2018 top products

First I've ever received as a PM. Is there any way to 'report' these sorts of things like you can a board post? If there is I didn't see it.

Regretfully I think I'll pass on these outstanding bargains. :)

EDIT: huh, I could have sworn there wasn't a 'report' button on the bottom left in that PM unlike everywhere else, but all my other PMs have them, so I guess I just blanked on it.
Man that's getting worse in my old age, missing obvious stuff.

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

We may have a reinstitute a pm restriction on new accounts if the spam bots are using them

Thanks for reporting, everyone.

Silly tech question from a total (l)user, but might it have been a real person just using a spam bot registration, then some sort of ctrl-c, ctrl-v for message and address list?

Or can bots do all that sort of thing by themselves now from go to whoa?

You know how tech-y I am - ie not.

Both are possible.

But if it's a human doing it, they've got to have a reason to do so -- usually because it's a clickfarm and they're getting paid for it. Those sorts aren't likely to try and spam us since we're such a small and niche forum: what company would pay a clickfarm to spam their ads in a fantasy book forum when instead they could pay the clickfarm to spam the ad on facebook or give them fake amazon reviews.
