I didn't want to post until I've finished, but I'm at chapter 2 and my brain has just exploded!My favourite human character Quick Ben is not human at all? Is this implying he is Anomander's brother?Is Erikson cheating us? I suppose the answer is a big RAFO, but I just have to post here...I'm in shock!

I think we are told (or at least it is surmised) at some point (possibly in MoI) that at least one of the souls that he 'incorporated' during his flight from WhiskeyJack's patrol through the desert of Pan'potsun was a Tiste Andii mage.

Yeah, there's still tons of speculation about it.

There are some theories but they tie in with the Kharkanas trilogy. So I'll spoiler it just in case, even though the spoiler as far as I can see doesn't actually contain a spoiler, just more stuff we don't know.

Interestingly, SE hinted that we would "sort of" see Quick Ben in the Kharkanas trilogy. So many of us have speculated that that could refer to the Andii soul inside him, because obviously we know that the main vessel (QB) is human and we have a childhood history etc from him too. But who this character might be is still very much subject to debate. 'Delat' sounds like an Andii family name, but that's about it.
