That's why you're a doctor and not a vet, GH.

I chose this avatar because Tron was the first movie I ever saw in a theatre. I believe the year was 1982 and I believe I was 4 years old at the time.

Nice thread resurrection.
Back when I joined, the forum had different stock images you could pick an avatar from. This was one of them. I thought "hey, that looks neat" and went with it.

Someone else congratulated me for having an avatar of the Preacher. I then read some of the comics and when the forum image was lost in one of the reformats figured I was cool with it and dug up the image from somewhere else.

I believe I had a seductive Goose as my avatar for a while and then I changed back to Aptorian and needed something something one eyed for my avatar.

Quote

The Avatar is the only person with the ability to bend all four elements.

The Avatar is an international arbiter whose duty is to maintain harmony among the four nations, and act as a mediator between humans and spirits. When the Avatar dies, their spirit is reincarnated in a new body, who will be born to parents in the next nation in a set order known as the Avatar cycle: Fire Nation, Air Nomads, Water Tribe, and then Earth Kingdom. By tradition, a new Avatar will travel the world to learn all four bending arts, after which they will begin in earnest their role as global peacekeeper. The Avatar can enter a condition known as "the Avatar State", in which they temporarily gain the skills and knowledge of all their past incarnations. Although this is when the Avatar is most powerful, if the Avatar were ever to be killed while in the Avatar State, the reincarnation cycle would end and the Avatar would never again be reborn.

You'll always be a sexy goose in our hearts.

3 years later I am still rocking the same avatar, but I added pirate gear because I'm playing space pirates in the current twilight imperium forum game.

From an early age, I became obsessed with falcons, especially, but most all birds of prey after reading The Summer of the Falcon by Jean Craighead George. I have been Falcon of some sort ever since on every video game and forum I've played or joined. Most often, I incorporate my favorite color, green, as well, generally using Greenfalcon. But for this site, I went with paran falcon since Ganoes Paran is one of my favorites in Malazan and paran falcon is almost kinda similar sounding to peregrine falcon...

Historically i've had Augustus McCrae quite a bit, because he's probably my favorite fictional character.

I choose the avatar I'm currently using because March 11 (tomorrow) marks one year of our new reality dealing with COVID-19. You just know COVID-20 is waiting in the shadows, ready to spring on us when we think we comfortably have COVID-19 in our rear view mirror.

This also begs the question - how come COVID-18, 17, 16 .... and all those prior to 19 get no press? I guess they weren't as severe? I always wondered about that.

The numbers don't signify different Covid viruses. 2019 is the year the virus was discovered/began spreading. Corona Virus Disease 2019 = Covid 19.

Personally my money is on Ebola 21.

Big B:tVS fan in the 90's and there was no better Buffy picture. In that size (kb) anyways in 2004 when there were size limitations for avatars. Cannit be bothered to find a new one now.
Forum needs more infopop.
