I totally agree, but the dynamic is factions trying to acquire a consensus and lynch the other team, or both teams (scummy or townie) working together to take out a common threat. This dynamic is more about using lynch as another killing power rather than a sole source of town's victory.

Yeah, I'm thinking there are a few odd things with Osseric's play.

He is trying to note on thread who he thinks may have abilities/be roled members of their factions, without knowing whether they're part of his own faction or someone else's. He is mentioning independent roles when there were no mention of such in the OPs. There were a couple of suspicious voting things at the end of the day that make me a bit suspicious of him, like Rashan 'voting Osseric' without first removing his vote from me - not that it would have led to a lynch anyway, but that's a classic "Ooops, I made a mistake and forgot to remove my vote" end of day mistake to make it seem like you wanted to lynch someone when you, in fact, really didn't.

All those things are making me mighty suspicious of Osseric.

Rashan was referencing a song lyric and artist (Worst comes to Worst by Dilated Peoples - dilated, peoples, see?) and being obviously tongue-in-cheek about it, as I suggested in one of my first posts. I feel there's something off about them because of their interest in Osseric, but not for those particular posts which you've highlighted.

I really could not give a fuck whether or not you lynched me. As someone of little importance, I have the liberty to throw out ideas and the like on the thread with little fear of hurting my team's capabilities with my death. And while I point out suspicions of both who is vampire and who is human (making my own allegiances vague), I create a disparity that people are forced to either rebuff or reinforce.

My suspicion on game mechanics is we have vampires vs humans with an independent role (maybe angel?) or two, much like last game. I think team vampire has recruiting abilities and nk abilities (possibly each night given the numbers in this game), which should make everyone wonder why there have been no deaths so far. There are probably a couple of lover convos and I imagine that team human has numerous worthless people for recruiting fodder supplemented by a couple of heavy hitters.

Right now, it is of advantage to humans to call out the heavy hitters, presumably since the vampires start off with a concentration of power among a few people. in addition, independents would be a risk factor (eg Angel turning for the other side if Buffy gets her rocks off) and their loss may be more beneficial than detrimental to humans.

Regardless, if I want to be of use in this game, I need to speak my thoughts, stir the pot to get people highlighted and trust my team's powerful people to take care of the rest. Lynch as you see fit.
