First, it's obvious that Ampelas is referring to one of the deaths as an extra death, because without gun nut Merrid running around there would have been a single death at night.

Second, Kilava is replying to something about themselves, so I don't se how they're replying for/as Ampelas.

But, having said that, I need to have a word with everyone else about Kilava, so why don't we go back to the altar where everyone is now?
