Hi all, what happens to Orfantal in Chapter 2 of FoL. Does he die? And how does he die?
Or am I missing something? ...he comes back in the books to follow as a Soletaken or am I wrong.
Thanks.

Not dead. What makes you think so?

He starts developing some abilities this book.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Thank for the reply.

In my book on page 48: it says "He thought of Orfantal dying, in the moment before ribs pounced and saw the spatters of blood on the snow around the boy"... this is said by Endest Silann. I'm not sure if I missed something in the previous book FoD or is this just Endest imagining a possibility? i.e Orfantal is playing with the dog and its just in Endests mind?

The underlined. Endest is a very maudlin character.
