It's that time of year again, Mafia Championship S4 invitation

Who is going to play for us this year?

Cliffs:
- 135 communities participating
- Your representative plays in a 15-man qualifying game whenever it suits them best in late April, May or June
- Setup: Mountainous (3 mafia goons vs. 12 vanilla townies). Going pure mafia this year to try that out for the first time. You have only your reading/bluffing abilities to count on.
- Your representative must be prepared to deal with potentially 500+ posts per day for the first few days. And they must post at least 10 times each Day Phase. So a lot of activity is required.

Who did we send last time? I think Khell and Blend should go as a team, then they'll confuse everyone with their weird dynamic.

Season 1 was Tatts, season 2 Gnaw and s3 it was Mess who was substituted by Khell halfway through iirc

That's largely up to your representative. There are 9 qualifying games with varying phase lengths and times for when days end. I'm sure we can work something out that suits your rep at least well enough.

When I subbed in halfway through, there were like a thousand pages to read. I did not read them. I picked out one person who I thought was posting in a sitting-on-the-fence kind of way and just kept repeating over and over that they were scum. Unsurprisingly, no one listened (I wasn't exactly able to give details), they were scum, we lost.

The best thing about doing it is coming across the weird different ways that non-Malaz people play (and the obtuse abbreviations they use), it's actually quite an interesting learning experience. And Tatts is a rank amateur when it comes to their posting numbers. But just point out to them how pointless it is to post that much - they love that

Update on The Mafia Championship

Exciting news: We are expanding to 150 participating communities, which is more than last season. In fact, we may even go for 165 communities depending on how some invitations go.

On that note, if you know of a community that might be interested in participating and isn't on the list in the linked post, let me know and I'll be happy to give them an invitation: http://www.mafiauniv...l=1#post1070949

Since none of the representatives chosen at this point have indicated that they can only play if their game starts April 24, I have made the decision that the qualifying phase won't begin until May 1st in order to allow me more time to get everything properly organized and to get all representatives properly prepared. This will have no impact on the overall schedule for this season; the qualifying phase will still be wrapped up by early July, after which we dive into the wildcard games followed by the finale game.

As for how to spectate your representative, I'll get back to you with more info on that, but cliffs: Your community may of course create your own private spectator chat (that your rep can't access), but the general spectator chat (where all communities gather and chat together) will be on Discord this year. If you want an invite to the server already now, just write me.
