I don't think Barghast is in a particularly scummy position at the moment. He's gone out of the way to both draw distinction for himself as well as getting others actively participating in dragonsex. He's also pushing for people to think themselves while building cases, instead of piggybacking on lazy cases.

As far as day 1 goes, I feel he's actually been the one that had done town the most good.
