*Deep breath*
I think the 49ers will win it this year!
Phew. Have to say it once a year. Glad it's out of the way.

2/3 of you are on crack.
I'll put my money on the Raiders this year, since i cant even joke about the Bears being a contender.
Still hoping Romo goes to the Texans or Broncos and somehow manages to stay healthy though.

Broncos would be a real contender with Romo - NFL.com says he chose to retire, though.
I can't say any team looks so complete to me that they're an auto-win against New England, who after all reeled in Brandin Cooks.
I'll name the Chargers as a potential surprise, though - man-made-of-glass Keenan Allen deserves one full, healthy, top-of-his-abilities season, and if he gets that, I think that's one dangerous team.

Just heard a morning sports talk show state that Tony Romo has taken a job with CBS Sports to replace Phil Simms as their #1 analyst to cover games for them this year. And there was also something about he would only come out of retirement if the Cowboys need him (in other words if something happens to Dak Prescott and their backup is stinko). According to this sports talk show, no other teams were willing to give up anything for him.
Wow! Just . . .. wow!

How can you look past the Packers / Pats / Giants / Falcons / Steelers / Panthers / any other bloody standard team the "experts" thing will be on it again...
I'm gonna pull for the Vikings. Because I'm in MN right now, and a home Superbowl would be awesome, if I could arrange another work trip for 2018!!

Fucking Bears.
Trading 2 3rds and a 4th to move up one spot to draft a guy with. It's written all over him.
Can't wait to pair him with our other awesome 1st rd pick Kevin White!
Ryan Pace might be a fellow EIU guy, but I'm not impressed so far.

Awww man, this sucks! So ESPN has gone through a round of layoffs which has hit their on air personalities. One of my favorite who got hit is John Clayton, who covers the NFL for them. What a bummer not to see him during the upcoming season on ESPN.
There was something about someone who looks like he teaches 11th grade chemistry covering the NFL that made the world seem just a little bit more awesome. Sucks big time.
His SportsCenter promotional commercial was just the best.

Hey, at least training camp is here now (albeit this just seems to mean players I'm hyped about getting injured...)...
I think the Pats will, unfortunately, probably win it again this year - but if I had to bet on anyone else it'd be the Steelers (a final Lombardi for Big Ben to ride off into the sunset with?)

One of the best weekends of the year, I am addicted to RedZone. Can't wait.
I'm a decent enough punter (horse racing) and like to get involved, to smaller stakes, in the NFL.
I have backed Seattle and Caroline for the big one at 12s and 33/1
Also have Tampa Bay at 7/2 and the Eagles at 5/1 for their respective divs (the latter on the understanding Elliot was out for 6 gms)

Random firings.
The Bears played well, but surprise surprise, couldnt finish.
Seattle and the GIants O-LInes are awful, just....awful.
The Colts were embarrassingly bad. Against the 49ers.
Pats are 0-1. Knowing them, they'll probably finish 15-1
