Take that you stupid Hurricane. Ain't nobody gonna get between a man and his video game.

I especially enjoyed the image of a breakfast consisting of Oreos and coffee.

Oh my lord is it really this complicated to buy a fucking game!!?? It's in the back of the store and I've been told I had to get a certain "girl" to get it for me. The wait to talk to her has been quite stupid so far. I think I'm getting pissed off. I never get pissed off. It's unBK like. Yet I feel it stirring...

Oh my she was cute. Flirting done on both sides vaporized any unBK feelings right away. It's truly amazing how easy it is to flirt talking about what button to push for credit as an opening.

I hasss the game now. Enroute home to load up. 68GB

So are we back doing the Ghost talks for the toon again? Seems like it just from the character entrance. Atleast in vanilla the toon talked.

Pretty game so far. The txt is really small though. I'm having trouble reading enemy names. The sensitivey seems way down even though I turned it up. Character feels very sluggish imo. My hands are actually really hurting right now. I haven't felt the Destiny hand pain in a awhile. Going to be a few days till I get those muscles worked back out. Destiny pain is a real thing.

Damn this is some amazing eye candy for sure! I'm liking the SMG a lot. I like how you can physically feel the lack of the Light. No jumps, melee, grenades, supers. Your limited and you have to compensate. Interesting.

Of course Tess is one of the 1st people to make it to the new camp. Gotta have those micro transactions the moment the game is open. She actually has some nifty things but I ll be dammed if I put $ into it. The exotic emotes are cool to see. The new ships and sparrows are very cool. They have added a lot of customization it appears. To bad ships are still just a loading screen. Would be atleast something going the Warframe route..

I'm kinda scared to try pvp right now until I get some of these abilities unlocked. Still not wild about only 4v4. I like my 6v6.

Not particularly feeling the grenade launcher at all!

Did my 1st Public event ugh by myself...where is the population at? It's dead in the EDZ. Would have figured the game would be packed in all servers. Maybe I'm just not in a popular spot right now.

I take my liking SMGs back a bit. No stability/range on any I have gotten yet.

Man the weapons and grenade sounds are so crisp over D1!

Well if it's anything like D1 then most public events will be yourself and maybe two other people if you're lucky. XD

I personally am without internet at the moment but I think many people are waiting. The beta didn't sell the game very well. And a lot of people will be getting D2 on PC over console now. And it's not exactly a weekend, either. XD

I suppose so yeah.

A bit better today.

The enemy AI is definitely a step up imo. I'm really enjoying the shear amount "yellow captains" peppering the area. Everyone of them drops a loot crate.

Mute Guardian is reallllllly getting to me now. They give the toon facial expression and body language and just as it seems it's on the verge of speaking the Ghost talks. This is frustrating as hell as D1 starts with Guardian being able to speak. I just don't see the point of this route.

Also I just a sniper rifle and it's power/special slot. I DO not like this!! They better have other slots for this gun or that's gonna cramp my style in PvP! I was an ace with these in D1.

I might cry

Bit more complaining. Got to get it out the way. The opening mission on Titan is every bit as confining as I thought it would be for sure. Lots of small walkways and rooms. The ocean is repressive.

I do not like the replacements for Strength, Discipline etc. Supers, grenades and melee are painfully slow to rebuild! Holy hell...PvP is going to be every bit as guns only as I feared. I did just an Exotic helmet that speeds that process up for Warlock. I had a choice between 3 armor pieces: arms, coat or helmet.

I still haven't been able to go back to my Void powers. Stuck on this Dawnblade class and I'm not a big fan of it.

I've got bad news for you... And also that you're the last person on the planet to get that memo. XD

Yeah I avoided or skimmed a lot. Maybe the drop rate for heavy/power is a bit quicker then D1? Please.

I can't even begin to say how bad this will affect my play style. Sniping was my jam. It was the best thing to get in a snipe off. I was good enough to get hate and praise messages both.

Oh man...

My brother and I have been talking about taking up another co-op shooter to play together. We've previously done all the halo games and all the gears of war games, playing through the campaign mostly. So, what is the Destiny 2 campaign like, is it actually worth playing through for the storytelling?

I've heard good things. I've also heard that it was "made to be played solo", so no idea if it's actively worse in coop or anything.

So, on the bs shader system - I've seen a lot of people defending it. Most of the arguments go like this:
1. You get heaps of Shaders once you reach endgame
2. Just save your shaders and don't use them on blues/until you have the armor you want.
3. It's just cosmetic!

Now aside from the fact that #3 is not a defense anyway (people like cosmetic gear - if they didn't, games wouldn't sell them or include cosmetic options at all, so don't act like they aren't important to some people), it is also undermined by the microtransactions for gear mods which are NOT just cosmetic.

#1 - I find this a laughable argument because it tells me that people haven't thought the issue through. They're reacting on emotion, knee-jerk responses because they don't care, or because they are blinded by their fandom. The problem with it is this: if there are so many shader drops that it doesn't matter and you have excess copies, then why do that system in the first place?
This particular argument defeats itself by essentially saying that the system doesn't do anything. If the drops are so common as to make them unlimited use... Then why not make them unlimited use and reduce the drop rate slightly?
Next: this runs afoul of rarer drops. Raid shaders, event shaders, whatever are not going to be so common. So if you want them you end up back at the fundamental problem of them encouraging you to spend real money (or waste time grinding) to get what you want. So it fails on multiple levels.

#2 - I think this argument is really telling. It tells me that the people making the argument are missing an even more fundamental flaw than the people making argument 1. If your response to something being expendable is "just don't use it unless you have the legendary armor you want", it shows the flaw that has existed since Destiny launched. It's too easy to get legendary armor. So-called legendary armor isn't legendary. It's the default. It's common. It's what you're supposed to have. And that's a much bigger failing of Destiny than people want to admit.
Dismissing peoples concerns about wasting items on lower tier gear by just saying "wait five minutes until you get the good stuff" shows just his shallow Destiny 2's loot pool is. As always, greens and blues are essentially trash garbage you're expected to use for five minutes then discard because you have something better. Not only does this highlight a problem with the loot grind and skinner box nature of Destiny, it clearly shows the fundamental lack of care Destiny gives towards progression and more importantly - customisation. It tells me that D2 hasn't learned any lessons from D1 on that front.
It also, again, ignores the fact that some gear, like the Raid set, is not so easy to obtain if you want specific pieces. So how long should those people wait? How long should they go around with poorly coordinated armor? Or are we just going to do away with the pretense and acknowledge what some of these people are saying is 'filthy casuals don't deserve proper customisation because I play 20 hours a week and can grind until I get what I want easily'?

Anyway. Rather than getting into pointless Facebook flame wars over it figured I'd just post here. :p
