I loooooove this.

Jasnah for the win!

Fair warning, the description of the art is mildly spoilery for a moment in the book.

Whelan is the shit. Idk what a giant is doing in here but I guess it will be explained. I'm guessing it's a Form and not just a new people.

I'm pretty sure the giant is a Thunderclast, just much bigger than they've been described so far.

I love Whelan. This is probably my least favorite of the 3 but I still really like it.

Pretty sure you're right about the Thunderclast. Nice catch.

Whelan is amazing, tho his work sometimes bugs me, as is the case here, because he has this tendency to draw characters as tho they are standing in the middle of events but not really paying any attention to them. Jasnah's is standing on a floating staricase while fixing a wall to keep out a big frikkin giant, but she's staring at the person holding the book.... wut?

Prologue of SLA bk 1, mentioned almost in passing. Check the link EODO gave.

Fucccckkk the pg count on Amazon is at 1264 for now. That's about 175 give or take longer then bk 1. I fear for the binding quality. I keep my bks in shape but bk 2 had me concerned when I reread Lifts pov not long ago. Felt fragile.

No one knows the page count yet, but Brandon expects it to be roughly 25% longer than book 2. Pretty insane. They'll have to adjust the font and margins, and possibly split the paperback (but not hardback in the US).
