Hi,
Here's my take on Kalam Mekhar of the Bridgeburners. It's still a work-in-progress but I think it's 90% done. This is a realtime (meant for consoles and pc games to the uninitiated) 3d character I work on in my free time. I'll post the finished pic with poses and beauty renders when I get around to finishing this. Always imagined the Malazans were a mix of ancient Roman and Chinese cultures.

He looks great. If you don't mind me asking, how many hours did this take you and what programs do you use?

I tinker with this on and off for almost a year but if I focus on it this one would take 1 month full-time give or take a week.

I use Zbrush, Maya, Marvelous Designer, Substance Painter and Substance Designer for Kalam.

I'll try to do another character after this one time permitting as I've always wanted an RPG set to the Malazan world ala Witcher.

Was it hard getting Idris Elba to model for you?
