Question about Karsa and Samar Dev

About one-third into this book and I'm wondering if I missed something. When did these two come to Genabackis? They were on Lether and now suddenly here. Apparently Karsa went first with Samar following through the warrens. I'm assuming Karsa came on a boat to Elingarth because he's far south of where the Teblor tribes live.

Karsa doesn't do boats, he had himself deposited on Genabackis after talking business with the Crippled God at the end of RG. Samar the followed him by Warren, allegedly to reunite him with his horse.
