Finished the book yesterday. Can't think of any questions right now, but here's two things I want to bitch about.

1. Hedge's reaction at Trull's death was rather excessive. The two hardly knew each other. I could maybe stomach quick ben's reaction. We see major deaths all the time around here, and its not like hedge is Onrack.

2. Not a biggie, but it would've been satisfying to see Karsa swing his sword at the CG. Maybe he knew this one was above his pay grade.

Hedge likely picked up some of QB's respect for Trull, which would count for a lot.
Karsa knew better, but also has a problem with chains.

Hedge is an emotional person with the habit of adopting strays and "other needy creatures". Like Paran. I guess Trull somehow also falls in this category.

Trull very likely falls into this cathegory. Also, pretty sure Hedge mourns not only the budding friendship lost but also the friendship that could'be been. Hedge is very emotional and Trull very open in inviting friendship, something that is not very common.
