Hello everyone, KruppeTheGreat here.
I'm an italian engineering student stuck in Glasgow for the next 4 years, who enjoys reading of thousands being slaughtered during breaks from the overwhelming engineering workload.
I am presently halfway through the books, having finished House of Chains a few months ago.
I then took a break from the Malazan universe, but will soon get back to it.
You may call me Gabriele if you really have to use my name. Please note the single L. I am not a girl.
Now, to the important question.
Has anyone ever felt a sudden urge to learn to play the violin in order to form a band called "Fiddler and the Bridgeburners"?

EDIT: I failed, the last Malazan title I read was House of Chains, not Memories of Ice. You can now feel free to discuss the fate of Felisin and the whole Seven Cities debacle on this post.

Welcome Kruppe. I took Violin lessons as a child and can honestly say that taking it up again has never crossed my mind. That being said it is a great name of a band.
How many fucking people do I have to hammer in order to get that across.

I think the bolded part is what we should focus on. Are the scots keeping you there against your will as some sort of indentured slave? Do we need to call the authorities?

Also; Hi and welcome Posted Image
Screw you all, and have a nice day!

Welcome to the fold!

Did not know Gabriele with one L was the masculine. Learnt something new today, also Thank you for Leonardo Da Vinci...and the other Ninja Turtles.

Hello the other Kruppe

I once played the viola and founding a band is a normal topic when I'm drinking with friends. But we never had such a good idea for a band name. ;)

No amount of Kruppe's is too many Kruppe's.

Goes without saying that the other members should take up pseuonyms.
Here's some ideas:
Quick Ben on synths/keyboards
Kalam on guitar
Trotts on drums
Whiskeyjack on vocals. Alternatively, Sorry.

Nah, it's more of a volountary exile encouraged by the promise of studying at a great university without paying fees.

Think of it as Gabriel, but with an extra E because us italians like unnecessary vowels at the end of words.
Also, you're welcome, rest of the world.
Too bad we stopped contributing meaningfully to western culture after the scientific revolution.

Another italien per chance?
