Hood can't be human; Raest remembers him from before his first imprisonment as the hooded wanderer, and there weren't any humans back then.

Or he might just be a born Ascendant like the Elder Gods? Or Pratchett-like antropomorphic personification?
Actually, if he lived before Raest, he should BE an Elder God, having in mind how we've never heard of creatures that ascended at the time.

I dunno why but I have always liked Gothos... I think we are going to see him pwning a lot of people at some point soon... If Jhags were allowed - Icarium!

I've always hated the T'Lan Imass for slaughtering all the Jaghut, their so cool, Omtose Phellack is so powerful, I get shivers reading about it.

Yup, and threatening to kill him for wasting his time too. Raest made it into my D&D game just cause of that line. I gotta steal cool npc's especially ones that have less than five pages of dialogue.

God, I loved Raest.... 
I especially like the part in GotM when he blasts the dragons with Omtose Phellack. All the other Jaghut are cautious/pacifists. Its fun to see a Jaghut REALLY angry/insane/powerhungry and blasting something with OP.

Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I think, you can't compare Raest and Gothos, they're two different personalities.
