Malazan Empire: Quick Ben..... Delat? - Malazan Empire

Hello everyone! I just need to know from you veterans out there if I'm on the right track. After Quick Ben strikes his deal with Shadowthrone and escapes intact (page 398), Kalam jokes about "How many High Priests burn the robes of their vestment?".

So I guess Quick Ben wasn't only a worshiper of the Shadow in the past but in fact a "High ranking official" so to speak before he turned his back... Am I on the right track? There's no mention of Delat in the glossary so I was wondering...

P.S. I absolutely LOVE this book so far!! I recently finished "A Storm of Swords" by George RR Martin and was looking for something else to read while waiting for his 4th book. A friend of mine suggested GotM and I must say I now have a new favorite author. And to think there are 3 more books waiting for me (I love that feeling ).
