Killjoys is fun, poor Johnny though.

But I still prefer Dark Matter, better cast in my opinion. Especially 3, he has that line between "douchyness" and likeability down to a t.

Idk but can you see where that could be the betray thing future guy talked about? It prob won't be but I'd be really happy if it was cause I don't think we need to have the betray arc 2 seasons in a row.

Dark Matter S02E09.

1) What the hell was inside of 3? That was actually surprisingly scary. That roar was unsettling.

2) What the hell was that last shot about?

I'm excited for next week's episode

2: I believe that was an indication the Android has begun dreaming. I love what they're doing with her and that possibility really adds to everything going on with her.

I totally agree. 3 irritated me quite a bit (as I mentioned once before, I felt he was just a wannabe Han Solo) for the first 2 or 3 episodes but he's totally won me over since then. I love his character now and I credit the actor for carving out his own niche in that type of character.

A case could be made for either one of these situations being the predicted "betrayal", though both are a bit of a stretch, I think. Its just as likely something else is yet to come. But hell, it could be one of the crew from the alt universe! Wouldn't that be a twist? Btw, possessed 3 was about to mess with or take the blink drive, right? Since Wil Wheaton's character put the "thing" in him, is he aware of and after it as well? Or did the "thing" learn about it just by being in 3's brain and make that move on its own?

Watching Killjoys S02E10.

I'm slightly disappointed that the virus goo seems to be the top of the antagonist hierarchy. I really wanted some cool aliens! But I still like where the plot is going, and Archive is pretty cool so far.

"You're a 6, not a 10."

The Archive Dej seems a bit too unperturbed that people are robbing him. He must be confident in the next layer of security...whatever it is.

Wilhelm Scream at 20:30 in.

Okay, the Gold Package security is on point.

These space battles are pretty good! Unrealistic, but well done.

Great finale all around. I'm excited to see what happens next season and that Clara is back.

Johnny's line about having luck with stealing a ship in the past - I feel like that was about Lucy. I wonder where he stole her from. And that hyperdrive on Khlyen's ship! And that flagship!

I watched the first episode while very stoned, and laughed through the whole thing. I couldn't help comparing every scene to The Expanse, and it falls so far short that it's laughable (hence, why I was laughing).

I can't wait for Killjoys to be back on. That's at least a fun, tongue-in-cheek romp, whereas Dark Matter takes itself too seriously. But, hey, I take what space opera scifi I can get these days.

Yeah, I'm kind of just hate-watching Dark Matter nowadays. The premise has gotten so convoluted and stupid. Killjoys never took itself too seriously, and was much better for it. Its first season was tough to get through, but they improved immensely in their second season. Whereas Dark Matter's first season was strong, and they've only gotten worse with time.

Dark Matter Ep 4 was all around enjoyable and intriguing to me. I don't disagree that so far, this new season has been somewhat underwhelming; I had higher hopes for the direction the show was heading. I'll definitely continue watching but as Whisperzzz commented, DM doesn't hold up all that well if compared to the Expanse.

That being said, Ep 4 had some comic moments that didn't seem forced. 3 was the perfect character to be the focus of the ep. The future glimpses were a good teaser. I hope the show runners actually have a long term plan and aren't just making it up as they go. I still think DM is a solid show but its not what I think it could be yet. I still find the Android to be the most interesting/intriguing character.

Oh I forgot...did anyone else notice that SyFy changed their logo?

I did notice that. Can't imagine why they felt the need to, yet again. I guess they've run out of spelling variations.

Logo background, variations, motion versions, and opinion here: http://www.undercons...loyalkaspar.php

Quote

“With SYFY shifting their focus to a round the clock spotlight on all things genre, the convergence of strategy and design became the center of the network’s POV,” Loyalkaspar Executive Creative Director Daniel Dörnemann explains. “It was a ‘personality-first’ approach, editorializing through voice and messaging and also giving the brand a clear visual voice. We created a simple, consistent system that incorporates extreme flexibility to let the message take center stage and drive decisions.”

“In designing the new logo, we were looking to embrace the various visual styles of science fiction,” Loyalkaspar Chief Creative Officer/Partner Beat Baudenbacher continues. “We wanted to approach it from a new angle and when we hit on the bold letterforms, it instinctively felt right.”

I think it looks good in motion. It seems like they're really trying to do a broad targeting for the "nerdy fandom" (space, superheroes, science, fantasy, DnD, etc) demographic.

Killjoys S03E01 is so good. I'm loving all this hackmod worldbuilding.

I honestly didn't realize what my life was missing until Killjoys started again!

Dark Matter is good, Killjoys is great!

I'm behind on all my TV shows, so I'm only just watching Killjoys S03E02, and am halfway through. Killjoys is so fun, and this episode has a great set of plots (not the boob kind). More people need to watch this show.

Someone should let the Xena fanbase know that there's a new badass woman warrior out there...

EDIT: Olli and Johnny are a great duo.

EDIT2: Wait...whaaaat!

EDIT3: Finished the episode. I know I made that joke earlier about Xena, but don't take that to mean that and Killjoys are in the same league — Killjoys is not similar at all, except Dutch is so badass (and so is Clara). And so was Pawter.

Wait til you meet Dark Dutch (I forget her actual name, I just call her Dark Dutch). She's fucking great too!

First episode of Dark Matter this season that has me in stitches. Like. I am dying over here.

Agreed. I found it quite entertaining as well. I think it was maybe a homage and or imitation of Star Trek's City on the Edge of Forever? To some extent?

But it was pretty well done and we got to see Portia, at least, in a different light.

Did you catch
Spoiler

I was glad for the change of direction with this episode. Ep 8 had my outrage priming making it appear Android had turned on her crew.

I've basically been binge rewatching Scrubs for the past month, but finally tore myself away from that. I'm catching up on Killjoys and am mid-way through S03E03. This village is giving me the creeps — especially the How To Smile hologram.

DM 9. Ugh finally we get something good. I've been very depressed the past 3 weeks. This season has a few good things but overall this is the worst season of the 3 easily imo.

I definitely agree with you. I have only been watching Dark Matter cause it's on right after Killjoys and now that I've invested all this time into it, I want to see what kind of resolution they come up with.

But Android trying to teach the crew how to be 21st century humans was just amazing. I was squeeing like a little girl all the way through!

Killjoys just keeps ramping up the drama. Wasnt my fave episode of the season, but it was, I think, a necessary episode. At least to show us what is going on with the rest of the world. Still love Aneela though. And I am not sure what to think of preggers Seyah Kendry.

Dark Matter was an android-centric episode so I loved it. Honestly, I only really love this cause of Android. The big "payout" was basically obvious. But all the Android being Android moments were gold.
