Not Evil super evil ones either..so please note this here and now. Let's explore all the advantages...So let's avoid Technophobia...

For purpose of this discussion how is the rise of automation, self driving cars and robots going to impact people in the short term. I estimate (with my crystal ball) that by 2030 all of these will be major talking points. Up to including actual robot (slavery) that will be able to do whatever primary designation we give them.

So within our lifetime's as long as society goes on it's normal path.

How much major impact do you see on society? Will the amount of people overall employed change significantly? Where will the jobs shift too? What parts of economy could not shift into automation? Doe's this mean space will become human's priority? Remember robot's don't need health insurance, so this shift would be huge. Do we as human's switch into some sort of consumerist, artistic based society as we explore a new higher function on the needs pyramid when the core ones are being met.
