Problem is I really don't care about Greymane or Kyle, but I want to know more about Korel and what the CG is up to now after RotCG. I'm torn on reading it next or just moving on to DoD and reading it after I finish Crippled God.

Thoughts?

Sounds to me like an accurate description of your current disposition. I have no reason to disbelieve anything you've just said. All in all, a seemingly honest post.

SW can be read after TCG without problems. I did.

There are a few references in DoD that would make more sense or have more impact if you have read SW. Nothing earth-shattering, though. So I'm afraid you'll have to face this harrowing choice head-on and try to not lose too much sleep over it.
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

Also about SW in general, I personally found the beginning half of it to be vastly superior to that of ROTCG though the latter half wasn't quite on par. The same continues with most of ICE's later books too. ROTCG has IMO the best ending ICE has ever written (It ranks in my top 5 endings of all time), but most of his other books are more even in terms of quality. Personally I found ROTCG somewhat boring until around 50% through whereas most of his other books were good from the get go IMO.

I enjoyed this one a lot more than B&B, wich actually i didn't enjoy at all except maybe from osserc but his part wasn't even big enough to make it worth.
