In ''Dust Of Dreams'', during the battle at the end of the book between the Bonehunters and the K'Chain Nah'ruk, Ruthan Gudd is charging the reptiles, while thinking:
He had an inkling hat they had not expected to see him again. He rode over to say hello.
Considering the time that Skillen Droe spent with the Che'Malle and the Nah'ruk in the disguise of a Shi'Galle Assassin, this could be a small clue.

I looked at that. To me it read like that the Nahruk had not expected to see him after the huge weapon blast they had fired at him
