Apologies if this has already been brought up, but I'm only up to Chapter 4 and I'm trying to avoid reading spoilers in other posts.

So in Forge of Darkness there was a middle aged Warden named Captain Bered. In Chapter 7 he heads over to the Vitr to confirm Finarra Stone's reports of dead dragons. Then in Chapter 18 Finarra leaves Spinnock in the charge of the experienced (now-Sergeant?) Bered. They arrive at the Vitr in time to see the arrival of the Eleint in Chapter 20 and he is once again referred to as Sergeant Bered.

Turning to Fall of Light, the veteran Warden sergeant looking out for Spinnock is now named Bursa?

To make matters worse, the name Bursa was already used in Forge of Darkness for one of the Legionnaires that killed off Enesdia & company at Andarist's home.

Am I just reading this wrong? This is making my head spin.

I think you're 100% right, it's a goof. Bursa is among those who, with Nerad, follows Scara Bandaris when he finally returns and chews everyone out.
