Are we told anywhere in HoC or tBH where exactly Bottle is from, as in where in Quon Tali? I honestly cannot remember, and I don't currently have any of the books to hand apart from RotCG.

Malaz Island/Jakatan.
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

His 'Aunt', who we met in NoK and see in TB, lives on Malaz Island. Am vaguely recalling he is Jakatan.

Ah thank you this is what I was trying to remember, whether we had met Bottle's aunt, I had completely forgotten, and still can't quite recall her appearance in tBH. I was contemplating the scene in chapter 6 where he meets the Eres'al (reading through the Tor re-read) and the fact that Bottle remembers his aunt talking about prod and pull jumped right out at me, thought 'is Bottle from Itko Kan, is his aunt Riggalai'. Now you mention Jakata I do remember it being said in HoC, and I was obviously on completely the wrong thread with his aunt, god can't believe I'm even forgetting people we actually meet, seriously highlights the importance of re-reads!
On the subject of the Eres'al in the scene I mentioned above, when it talks about the child's father being Edur, the obvious implication is that this is Trull, following on from the scene near the conclusion of HoC. Here it is made to sound through Bottle's pov that this child is not yet born, but unless I am mistaken isn't it heavily implied in MT that Kettle is the child of the Eres'al? She does not yet know who her father is, and Silchas Ruin claims that as the Eres'al travels through time, the father may not yet have engaged in the act of conception in Kettle's timeline - which is true if it's Trull, heck-a confusing and honestly I hate time travel, but yeah.
Apologies if any of that should have spoilers, I'll edit to correct if so, I figured that because I was discussing prior books it was alright.
