Belichick is a great couch. But more importantly he found an owner in Kraft who would allow him to build and rebuild teams. The Bears have had 4 head coaches while Belicheck has been with the Pats. There is a lot to be said for having an owner with trust in a coach and both working together.
How many fucking people do I have to hammer in order to get that across.

Having grown up in New England, the Pats have always been my home team. I have been a fan for over 40 years. The hate from this board has kept me from posting how I feel. I hope my Pats win it again.

I like the Pats but would like an upset, don't think the Falcons can do it though. Gronk let me down this season FF, so punish him
Apt is the only one who reads this. Apt is nice.

My feelings surrounding the Patriots are... complicated. Thanks to David Halberstam (The Education of a Coach) and A Football Life: Bill Belichick, not even Belichick's endorsement of Trump mattered. That man is as close to a genius as I guess one can get - there's a lot to know about football and it seems he knows almost everything and has done everything, from play-calling both sides of the ball through to special teams. The long line of Patriot of quarterback prospects New England deals away for draft picks only to sizzle outand the even longer line of coordinators who become bad head coaches speaks for the added value the man can add.
On the other hand, there's "The Patriot Way" and Aaron Hernandez. I don't care so much about Spygate, Deflategate or the microphone malfunctions that seem to occur maybe a little bit too often in Gilette Stadium: I just feel that human garbage is accepted there as long as they can play corner or create a mismatch.
On the opposable thumb of that hand, there's Martellus Bennett, though.

Bubba, hater's gonna hate.
And, I'm a hater.
GOOOOOOOOOO FALCONS!
And, I'm a hater.
GOOOOOOOOOO FALCONS!
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Dennis Harrison, the 25-year-old Patriots fan who allegedly pulled the fire alarm in the Steelers' hotel early Sunday morning, appeared in court at his arraignment Monday. As The Boston Globe reported, he pleaded not guilty to disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, and setting off a false fire alarm charges. He's scheduled to be back in court on Feb. 13.
More details from Sunday's arrest also emerged Monday -- like what Harrison allegedly told police. It's quite possibly the most honest quote of 2017.
"I'm drunk. I'm stupid. I'm a Pats fan," Harrison reportedly told police, according to The Globe.

Safe to say he is an accurate representative of all Boston sports fans. "Sully" AND "Danny Boy" just have it in their DNA.

My reason to root for Atlanta is slim.........i just dont want Julio Jones to end up like Larry Fitzgerald, without a ring.
Most important is a good/close game. It has been a bit boring so far.

Holy shitballs.
Besides the fact that Brady is a complete stud, the Falcons lost because they tried to get cute.

Hah. I went to bed at 28-3, thinking the Falcons would win... queue my surprise this morning.
Congratz Bubba!
I look forward to a very awkward meeting between Brady and Trump at the steps of the White House, considering Gisele apparently detests The Donald.

Yeah but Brady and Bellichick and Kraft have all been licking Trump's butthole for ages so they'll be happy.
Anyway good game terrible result.
