Hello everyone,

I read GotM, Deadhouse Gates, MoI and HoC a few years ago before I had some big changes in my life and reading kind of got pushed aside. I want to start back up with Midnight Tides but unfortunately I forget a lot of the details from the first four books. Is there anywhere I can find a quick recap of all the major events that have happened so far?

No quick recaps, but chapter-by-chapter summaries are here: http://www.tor.com/s...-of-the-fallen/
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Visit the Wiki - we don't have all the chapters summarized as yet but GotM and MoI are completed and we are about half-way into DG. Some summaries are more in depth than others...

If you look at the following table - the green ones are done:

Hope this helps

I'm in a similiar boat, I have read the first 3 twice now, and now moving onto Midnight Tides. It's been a little bit since I did read them, but, I think with this series, you'll never remember everything. It's impossible. It's a series, from what I have read over the Net, is that you get new insights as the you re-read the series.

Erikson, writes it like it's real history, and who remembers every single little detail? :)

I say, go for it, and enjoy the ride.. :)

If you've read the first three only, you should read House of Chains first before you go to Midnight Tides. HoC is part 4, MT is part 5.
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

Oops. I have read House of Chains. Just read the one time. I did start it a second time but felt I remembered enough not to finish.

I just gotta make sure when i start midnight tides is that I don't pause between books for so long.

It is! I read those book so long ago, but, I have a thing for the far east. And, it's always stuck with me. One day, I'll re-read them.
