I have worked on this dictionary 18 hours a day for 10 years. My mother died, I hardly noticed. And yet, completeness eludes me. I have included sausage. I have added aardvark. But I am struck by indecision when it comes to the proper term of venery for a group of sympathizers. A coterie it is not, for too often they do not know one another. Neither are they numerous enough to be a flock. A herd is too tame, a pride not insidious enough. A murder... a murder would work.
