I don't want to go in the MoI subforum since I've just started it two days ago.
Is this the best one of the series? So far, I'm amaze by the writing evolution of Erikson. I wonder if it's the best one, at least it is so far in my opinion.

MOI was my starting point for the series and I thoroughly enjoyed it. That being said midnight tides is still my favourite.

So you avoid the subforum to not get spoilered on whether it is the best book? That is impressive caution, I tip my hat to thee sir The question, however, is largely RAFO.
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

Well, the last time I went looking for something on "teh interwabnet", I was spoiled quite a bit. So I guess it's self defense Though, I still don't have my answer on that part (is it Tattersail on the cover of the TOR mega edition of 10 books?)

It's all good, just don't post MoI spoilers here in the DG subwarren.
I constantly swing between DG and MoI for bestest book in the series. They're very different in some ways but awesomely epic.

I sort of stopped thinking about bestestest book stuff. Every book has at least one truly epic moment in it that you'll remember for the rest of existence. So I now rate Erikson output by bestestestestest epic concept. Using that classification, the Chain of Dogs definitely sits very near the top of the series for true heartbreaking epicness.

Some think so. Others do not.
