yup, i know, crazy and to me it doesn't make sense. but just finished rererererererereading GOTM and something sprung to mind.

1 . To enslave a demon you have to be more powerful than it (this is mentioned in passing with the demon that Baruk summons to spy on city)

2. The Galyan (spelling apologies) Lord that is unleashed is Tayschrenn's , therefore he supposedly enslaved it.

3. The demon lord is meant to be around about the same level of power as Rake. Rake admits himself that its is going to be a close one. Quick Ben is actually shocked that Rake won. And without his sword Rake might have had a bit of trouble.

So.. by this logic Tayschrenn is at the VERY LEAST just below Rake in terms of power. Which strikes me as just being.. well complete tosh (haha, got to use the word tosh! ). I know in Pale he managed to deflect Rake's attack but you put them on a one on one , especially if Rake veers, and i'd bet on rake every time.
Have I been seriously underestimating Tayschrenn all this time? Or is something not quite right here..
Your comments please. And this is where i hope i havent been monumentally stupid and overlooked something incredibly basic..
