Hey y'all. We're not done with this game, but since I'm bored (because I'm on mandatory vacation all week), I thought I'd discuss how we can make the next game go better.

A thing that Boner and I have done in the past is start out with two nations, instead of just one. It does mean that the initial run to gobble up unclaimed SCs is shorter, before we actually are fighting with each other. It also means that there's less chance we'll end up with one player in the center, where the other two can only fight that one. One thing this game has lacked is the option to use actual diplomacy against each other. Forming an alliance, then flipping to make sure you don't help one player win. If we each have two non-contiguous start points, we'll necessarily start out with everybody having at least one front with everybody else. And Aberration V has enough extra-national SCs that there's still some gobbling up, plus the other nations' SCs, which would be defended. And since there are nine nations, we could even go so far as to start with three each, but I feel like SOME gobble time is good.

Because the first five or six turns were all just a mad dash to even GET to each other, and since Hungary was to the right of center, it meant that you two started having to use more resources to take space from each other, and I just got to keep gobbling stuff up. I was slowed down by the need to convoy everything, but once I got rolling... well... that's why I have over 20, and you two don't.

I'm curious about people's thoughts on the two vs. three question.

One thing that also gets somewhat interesting, but might also be annoying, is that with a single nation, after all the gobble gobble, the supply lines from our build SCs to the front lines are longer, but we're only a single nation. If we had several nations, there would be issues where like... Israel builds an army, but can't get it to the front, because that player is also Hungary, and he'd end up taking SCs from himself to do it. There's some extra strategic thinking there, but also some hassle.

Well after this game I'm most likely done on the forum. Work blocked the site and as I'm almost never on outside of work hours I'll likely disappear from the forum. I'll try and stick out this game but I'm likely out for all future endevours.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

There are other forums. Boner and I have played on my site, which is ONLY games, but... right now is only like... A game, and not diplomacy.

Or, you know... live your life. I just thought I'd offer. No pressure, though.

Perhaps even BEFORE this game ends, it's starting to look like.

Oh, then it's Boner's fault. And he can't blame lack of access.

So, I picked up four, lost three, and fucking Israeli tanks just rolled into Morocco. How did I not see that coming?

Oh yeah, we had a DMZ. But it expired, and I wasn't paying attention.

Well played, sir. But now, things will change.

It's a few hours past my bedtime, and I can tell that my brain isn't quite in top form, so I'm going to crank out my moves in the morning. Which is probably evening for you two. I've been working Indian hours for the past couple months, and it's really messing with me. I switched back to my local time for the holidays, and now flipping back to Indian time is giving me jet lag, even though I haven't actually moved.

Yeah, I was focusing on that giant cluster in Germany. I mean... I nearly have overwhelming numbers there, but in this game, position matters a lot too. And I don't have that locked down yet. It's gonna be fun watching me and him trade zones for a while.

Yeah, that's a fun area. Frankly, you've been annoying me quite a bit. You manage to do the only thing you can do to counter my plan.
