Posting this in the main OL section as it'll get more views here. Feel free to move it if you need to, mods.

Brandon Sanderson seems to have a run of UK shop visits coming up in October. He's at Waterstones Sheffield (city centre, I think) at 1pm on the 20th. Launch event for his new book, Shadows of Self.

I'll try and get further detail, but I imagine some of you may be interested in this.

Just a heads up to you UKers who might consider going. Sanderson is one of the nicest authors I've ever met. He will happily nerd out about aspects of his books with you.

He also did the signing I attended (at a local library around the time of the release of WAY OF KINGS) for hours with a cold. He was a super trooper for doing the signing even though he was ill.

If you are even a slight fan, I recommend going and meeting the man. He's damned awesome.

He should come to Finland, I might go to meet him (And ask why Stormlight 3 hasn't been progressing for nearly a month :p). I've watched some of his interviews and a lot of his writing lesson videos and he seems a really nice and quite funny guy.
