Yeah I don't like Thursday games more for the fact that I have to check in much earlier to make sure I don't have anyone I want to play that day more than anything. And thank goodness for TY going off. Still have a halfway decent shot of decent points scored this week even though my only hope of winning is for an Arizona shutout with them scoring a defensive touchdown with multiple picks/fumbles and sacks and for Larry to have his worst game of the season. So in other words a freakin miracle.
I went to bed pissed off at my choice of Woodhead and Blount when Yeldon goes off against a Bills defense that has been quite good against blocking the run. 2 points Woodhead was on, late into the 3rd. I wake up to the headline, "Woodhead goes beserk in garbage time. I've got yo he happy with that. 22 points plus Gano with his 9 points.
At the time you were winning 83 to 81. With my WR and your defense to play.
I'd never sit Yeldon any week. I've already told you this.
He's only had 2 games above 10 points all season. Not much upside most weeks.
It's about the amount of rushing attempts they give him. Week 2 he only scored 8 or 9 points, but he had 25 touches. That's A LOT. Week 3 he faced the Patriots, and they held him to 11 attempts. But he had a lingering groin injury that's better now.
Week 5 he scores over 12 points, but week 6 is when he had to sit out to let his groin fully heal. When they said he was coming back for Week 7 against the Bills fully healthy, it's kind of a no brainer IMO.
He had 20 touches and almost 20 points, and that could of been much better because for some strange reason, the Jags take Yeldon out, who's just kicking ass, sometime in the third or fourth and put in Toby Gerhart.
Gerhart vultured 6 touches, including a goal line touch where he couldn't even get across the TD line, whereas Yeldon would have had another TD more than likely.
With that said, none of it really matters at the moment. You're doing very well and should not have to worry about making it into the playoffs. Also, why we're you even complaining anyway, you're destroying 12 this week. But going forward, out of Woodhead, Blount, and Yeldon, I'd always play Yeldon and just hope that all the touches add up to something. Woodhead has to worry about Gordon. Blount has to worry about Lewis, but Yeldon is pretty much an every down back going forward.
I'm still hurting for losing week 1 to 12 by 2 points, and week 4 to Obdi because I didn't put a QB in my lineup. Weeks 2 and 3 I just lost. But if I win tonight, that's 3 straight, and I believe I should have weeks 1 and 4 back, which would make me 5 and 2 instead of 3 and 4. ( or 2 and 5 if Shin's CJohnson goes off ).
