Just looked them up. 24 Tier III hexes and we are only suppose to use 12 Tier II hexes. Right now there are already 2 discarded Tier II hexes just in case there are a bunch more that get discarded.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

There are 11 placed tiles and 2 discarded Tier 2 tiles, so wouldn't we technically be out of Tier 2 tiles then?

These are all the ones that MIGHT get used in the game. Per the rules we can only use 24. Otherwise everyone would explore and turtle and most of the fun is the conflict due to scarcity of resources.

Gods, did we screw up again?
I'll update the Tier 3 tiles so there are only 24 tiles (I'll use a list randomizer and then take the first 24 after randomizing the list 10 times).

I am ASSUMING that we're using the 'they're all available but we only pick 24 times" method. That's an IH question.

@Gnaw - If others want to include the Minions I'm okay with it. You're right that Eridani not being in the game helps a lot in balancing them.

Will wait to see what IH says about how we'll deal with the 24 tiles thing then.

Dang, didn't see the complete map when I decided on orientation. I would have rotated one tic to the left. Can I still do that?
No because my explore came after you got the hex. I orientated it that way to avoid you as much as possible

No don't do that. We aren't suppose to know which tiles are in the pile and the only way we know how to do that is by thinking everything is in the pile until the last one has been selected. Once 24 have been drawn whether it was placed or discarded the remaining tiles are then removed from the list.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Ah, I see where my mistake was, I was counting a Tier 1 card as a Tier 2.
So the only 2 tile left are the ones that were previously discarded?
Do they become available now then?
Should I update the Tier 2 TXT file so that only the two tiles that were discarded are left?

Blend, the tier II file should only have 209 and 212 in it.
We take the first 12 tiles, whether they're placed or discarded. The discards become the new draw pile.
And the Draco cannot place the hive. So you're in the position of being able to cost D'rek a tier II hex.
Or, by not exploring that hex, you can force D'rek into letting you have the hive.
Edit: damn, I'm glad you caught that Twelve.
