Forgot to say earlier, I'm away on holiday Friday to Wednesday. So if I'm not around, that's why.

Do you book a seat for the doll or just deflate her and put in the luggage?

I booked a seat for the doll, but then there was a death in her family and the funeral was arranged for the day we fly out. So now she's flying out the next day and I'm spending a day and a half of our Valentine's holiday sipping cocktails by the pool on my lonesome. I was considering arranging something surprisey and Valentiney for her to arrive to while I'm out there.

Started to rep you for the witty reply. Then realized that might not be appropriate since presumably you are talking about a real person's family.

Thank you all for your condolences on the death of my father. It was unexpected only in the sense that we all figured he had one more fight in him. His sorta annual trip to the ICU for pneumonia may him weaker each time. I'm almost glad for him that the stroke cut that last cycle because he would have been chairbound at least, if not bed bound. He would have been completely miserable that way.

And 83 is a full life by most anyone's measure. He did not go gently into the night.

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

That's not bad at all. That the color you want?

It would allow me to switch IH to green and not have to worry about making sky blue ships.

I am indeed happy with my changes. And the void/conflict is now resolved back into one file.

What application did you use to make the changes?

I haven't paid any attention to the game at all... not sure I'd be qualified to do so.

@edit - not any time soon I expect...

I'm torn between a research and an explore. It depends on which hex Tapper researches I think

Damn, I liked that hex.

1#1d15: 1 # 1 [1d15=1] = 212

Oh goddammit that's the hive hex. I'm going to need to think about whether I really want to keep that one.

What's life without a little risk I guess, this has the potential to completely ruin my game, but place it anyway.

Also, I am willing to self-mod, but if I am swamped with work or on the phone, then I will submit like I did now, with humble apologies to everyone for holding up the thread.

Had a look there, nothing earth shattering that I need to research right away.

EXPLORE to the south east -- into tier 2.

Actually...just take that as my move (ie don't worry about confirming provisional). I can't see anything better to do atm.

Ok ancient homeworld 271 has been shuffled into the deck. There is a text file with the hexes on the google drive folder, I'll send you all a link shortly. I like D'reks idea of doing things through orokos. There is a number at the bottom of the text file, roll a 1d(the number at the bottom of the list), count down the list to the number rolled, select that hex, delete it, reduce the number at the bottom by 1 and save the file. That way everyone should be able to update.

Ok, deep breath. Embarrassing probably-obvious question. How do we change the text file? Do we have to download it, change it, delete the old file, and upload the new one?

Okay, so I'm looking at the stuff on the Google Drive, and just so I'm clear, the hexes in the 200s are Tier 2 hexes, and the hexes in the 300s are Tier 3 hexes, and the 100s are Tier 1 hexes, right?

When it's our turn, we roll a dice? I really have no idea what I'm supposed to do to self-mod, I certainly can't make any changes to the map as I don't have a program capable of doing that, so can I just have someone do my modding like in Eclipse 5?

My sig comes from a game in which I didn't heed Blend's advice. So maybe this time I should. ~ Khellendros
I'm just going to have to come to terms with the fact that self-vote suiciding will forever be referred to as "pulling a JPK" now, aren't I? ~ JPK

Scratch the question about the tiles - I see the text files with the Tiers now.... but the rest still stands.

Should I basically just be figuring out what my explore is, then posting the tile on here, then providing whatever I need to provide in terms of like orientation, and then allowing someone else to add it to the map and such?
