Writers block can suck. There are many things that can be done to remedy it but I would like to suggest one.
I was a bit blocked but still wanted to keep writing in some way. I was working through the MBotF and decided I
would contribute to the Wiki. I reread DG chapter 11 and wrote a chapter summary for it. Half way through writing
the summary by muse was doing backflips. Whatever clog I had in my mind was flushed out and I started to rush
the summary out to get back to it. I'm partially through chapter 12's summary and as soon I get a mental hick-up,
on my own writing, I'll be finishing it. Something about analyzing Erikson's genius, helps to bring out my own.

So, when I get blocked, I'll be doing Wiki work. Posted Image

:) Has Egwene temporarily taken over your account?
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

I already gave up on writing articles as I really suck on it not just because of writers block. Good thing there are article writing services now for my website where I can avail contents without too much effort. Try to find time to relax sometimes to overcome this problem.

If I get a block I tend to go and play videogames for a bit. Works overall, and to be fair my project is quite heavily influenced by games such as Thief (to the point I've had to drop a couple of nods to it in there).

I looked at the link. Using a VERY LARGE FONT they advertise, "High-quality writing services by native English writers." Native English writers is always a plus, lol.

To bring this back up, something I sometimes do is take time away from particular characters and just write another one for a bit. Generally I have an idea as to what a character would do, but the last run I did with the main one came to a point where I needed to write the second main, and I've managed to write myself something that advances the story in a way I hadn't intended AND allows me to draw in another character who I'd been wondering how to fit into things for a while.

As a native english speaker, I can say that is stereotypical and not always a plus. A native doesn't have t he experiences of your culture, your values, and on top of that get little things mixed up like write and right or ly and lie.

Then there is the differences between british, canadian and us english speakers.

finally, most natives don't know anything about commas.

My writer's block is caused by compulsive self promotion. My debut novel was published and I can't concentrate on writing anymore. I sit down to write and end up looking for potential book reviewers. This has interfered with my reading also. As an old guy, I now wonder if I've gotten in over my head.
