Unique aspects can sometimes draw me in, but they need to be integrated in a way that isn't jarring (see Fallujah and the atmospheric keys) to me. It's also why I couldn't get into Eluveitie - that hurdy-gurdy is just not the sort of instrument that sits well in a metal setting to my ears.
