This is my rendition of Kallor. I always thought he was the most tragic of characters, simply because he never learns...

I was also rather inspired by Corporal Nobbs use of grays, as is rather obvious. I hope you all dig it.

Interesting take. It's reminding me of Vigo in Ghostbusters 2.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

He kind of was Vigo in a way, he had a kingdom and sacrificed it. I don't think Kallor ever had as annoying followers but hey, we take what we can get right?

Awesome. Love it!
Think I prefer the first one though.

I'd stay away from the smudge tool for blending. (Or if you used a blender brush, try using a smaller brush with little strokes)
I find better results for blending by using a small texture brush on a low opacity (20-30%) and just working over the areas
Rejoice. For very bad things are about to happen

I also prefer the first one. This is actually fairly close to my own mental image of Kallor. Very good portrait.

In another life I used to aspire to penciling comic books. That dream didn't work out but I still doodle on occasion, I was thinking of doing a Fiddler one day but that day just isn't today :crybaby:

I am also casting my vote for the first image.

Obviously would love it for the Wiki, if that's possible. Is it? Very pretty please, please :crybaby:

The first one is pretty sweet, but I always though of Kallor as the wrinkliest. Like, 'That T'lan Imass has a face like Kallor's ballsack' wrinkly.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Kallor to me has always had this sort of Sisyphus style doom hanging over him, that every time he would rise, he would fall. So he blames and blames and blames those elder gods for his failures, not realizing that sooner or later, everything fails. The candles return centuries of life to him, but don't forget, he's also vain, he has had wives, children and lands. He would have tended his appearance, at least he would have moisturized with some sort of Malazan version of Oil of Olay or something.

He just never learns...

Thank you. Could you upload it? It's always best if an image is uploaded by the copyright owner rather than a third party. :D
