Glad you enjoyed the trilogy! I expect that you won't speed through the next two books quite as quickly. They are a different, meatier experience. Dark Age is especially epic and awesome.

Having a break before I get to them. Halfway through Gideon the Ninth already.

Solid break book.

I want to tell you to wait for the sixth book before starting 4, but 4+5 together make for a solid storyline and if you don't wait too long you'll save yourself some time remembering who all the players were.

Oh man I finished the earbook of the first book today, wow that was a great story. Like many of you said it did start a bit YA but it twisted that right around on its head.

Making Darrow a gold and then having the rest of the book be done insane war game? That was incredible! I was expecting a sort of Mars Hogwarts, which I was happy with (you know I love a good school/academy setting in my fantasy!) but what we got was delightful.

So glad that Mustang turned out NOT to betray him, again a nice twist on a twist. So hyped about book 2 which I shall start in the morning!

You're in for a treat. These books never stay in a setting for long; the stakes just increase and the scale gets larger - I loved the pacing. It's kind of like binge watching an entire season of 24.

Hoo boy you weren't wrong! Finished Golden Son last night and that was one heck of a ride!

Who knows how this one is going to end!

I just KNEW that Roak would end up turning on Darrow but I kept holding onto hope that Inwas wrong right until the end.

Severo is ace I'm glad he's still in it. I like to think of him as Silk but actually cool and badass...

Ragnar was the best new character. Great fun and I'm glad him and Severo are knocking around.

No idea what happened to Mustang. I imagine Jackal has somehow found out from her that Darrow is a red.

Also I have no clue how he can create another series from this it feels like this third book is going to be so explosive that nothing what can come from it! Man I'm hyped now!
