Finished our 3rd re-watch of Rebels the other night and I had to resist coming here to gush, yet again, about how much I love this show. To my knowledge, there has been no statement from Disney that the rumors of the Rebels sequel show are false. That's a good sign, I assume?

We immediately started a Clone Wars series re-watch to lead into the final season's release. My wife or daughter ran across a list of all the CW episodes in true chronological order, which we are following. We're only 3 eps and the CW movie in so far but it has already paid off in the noticeable continuity. Going to thoroughly enjoy watching Ahsoka progress through the series again.

Yeah, I agree that TRoS makes it seem very likely that has occurred. But hopefully down the road a ways...

She's probably just chilling in the WbWs when that happened.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

I was actually going to say that MIGHT be a way to get around that "issue"!

I'm sure Filoni hinted something in response to people assuming she was dead. Only something like 'people don't have to be dead to be heard by other force users' but enough to look like he was referencing Ahsokas voice in TroS.

My goodness that show was just horrible overall. How I watched every single Ep and still donít know the characters names is crazy. The MC was an utter idiot from start to finish.

Wrapped up Season 2. The season 2 finale was friggin phenomenal.

Few episodes into Season 3. I've never read any of the EU so this is my first experience with Thrawn. Dude is awesome.

In case any of you didnt already know this. This show is f'ing good.

You are seeing a pale reflection of a character that is probably without a doubt to many one of the single greatest characters to be born of the EU. There is a reason he was cherry-picked out of it. Dude is iconic as fuck. I myself was really let down by his appearance in the show by the decision to not do his eyes properly. Chiss had solid red glowing eyes unbroken which totally was chilling. The show got it so wrong I thought it was a crime and then they added fucking eyeliner in for some reason. Just some background on Chiss: they are/were humans thousands of years ago who got shipwrecked on a icy planet high in minerals that over time changed their skin blue and set the eyes a glowing. Seriously though Thrawn and his people are among the best things to come out of the EU.

I mean they kept the basics of his character with the art/tactical stuff but it was turned up to 11 in the books because he was the big bad 5 years after ROTJ who single handily rallies the Empire and almost ends the New Republic. So heís the same but not the same. 1st impressions are better and Iíve had 20+ yrs Thrawn is top dog so it was sort of let down seeing him be subordinate to anyone in the show like Tarkin.

Hot damn I should pull out Heirs of the Empire...

Apologies for going into dork mode on you there Ben. I had intended on quoting that post sooner and just forgot. I would strongly reco you to checkout some of those EU books. Me or QT could point out the must reads of them. They are all mostly short reads. I used to go through them in a 2 to 3 days. I read much quicker back then and even more so on a newly released SW book.

Hey QT would you reco Outbound Flight or Heirs 1st? I think part of what made Outbound so cool was having all the Heirs and beyond info 1st but Outbound would be much closer to the Thrawn that SB knows in Rebels. Whatís your take QT?

That will be a jumble to you Ben likely but what Iím asking QT is rather important. Heirs is like THE (I donít count Splinter of the Minds Eye) very 1st EU book to ever come out barring the official movie novels which start 5 years after Jedi and introduces Thrawn who became so popular before the prequels were made but after they were it opened up the galaxy for authors to play in that time period so yearsss later Zahn went back to that time using seeds of background info to write Thrawns introduction to the Empire.

It would really depend on what area you would be more interested in..prequels or sequels which is the one I was always looking forward to most. You would get badass Luke and descendants..not what this new trilogy brought. Such a crime.

I agree. HEIR is the right choice.
