Hey guys,

Just wanted to let you know that my review is up on the Hotlist!

Only a few more days to go before you can all get your hands on the books!

Cheers,

Cool! I also agree with your point about the negative reviews.

I'm looking forward to reading it. Erikson's comedy is just as good as his epic fantasy!

I enjoyed reading the review, pretty much bang-on with your comments too.

I had no idea some people were thinking it was a serious sci fi novel :unworthy: . That's funny that is.
You'd think reviewers would know a bit about the book before it came out - I mean we all did. :D

Still, notoriety is good I guess, in whatever form it comes coz it gets people talking about it.

The preview chapter has been up on Tor for like a year.
Anyone who thought this was serious sf wasn't paying attention.

To be fair, both Tor and Bantam Press didn't really make a point of it, probably in the hope of not "scaring" some potential readers. That being said, if they'd taken a moment to read the blurb, they would have known what they were getting into.

This is about as ridiculous as someone complaining that Space Balls wasn't as dark and satisfying as The Empire Strikes Back...
