Just to discus the reading and have a topic as a reminder. Would be nice if someone can give some information about the roles (For example what is the Spinner of Death? The Chain?).

Spinner of Death – Keneb?
Knight of Shadow – Son from Seren and Trull?
Master of Deck – Paran
Virgin of Death – Sinn
Scepter – Grub
Magus of Dark – Quick Ben
Mason of Death – Hedge
Queen of Dark – Sandalath
Obelisk – Bottle
Orb – Gesler
Throne – Stormy
King of Life – Brys?
Fool in Chains - Banaschar
Herald of Life – Ublala Pung? (Quite sure – other known Toblakai would be Karsa)
Chain (Unaligned) – Tavore?

1) What could mean the begining of the reading: 'Spinner of Death, Knight of Shadow, Master of the Deck… Table holds them, but not the rest.' Just that none of them was at the reading?

2) Who is the Chain that Fid reveals in the End? It surely looks like Tavore. That's why Fid is sorry for her. And Fid says in the end: 'We all know about those, MY DEAR… Now, if you only weren't so… strong. If only you were weaker. If only your chains didn't reach right into the heart of the Bonehunters – if only I knew who was dragging who, why, I might have reason to hope.' But then on the other hand Fiddler says during the reading: 'For you Tavore Paran… nothing.'

3) In the last reading in the Bonehunters the roles were quite differently distributed. For example Kalam 'gets' the Obelisk, Bottle gets Weaver of life, Quick Ben Consort in Chains…

From the Tor reread: http://www.tor.com/b...ty-two-part-one

They just had to do something with these roles in this reading?
But in the DoD reading they get this role, right?

'This wasn't a reading,' Fiddler said. 'No one here was found. No one was claimed. Adjunct, they were marked. Do you understand?'
'I do,' she whispered.

I don't think this was a traditional "if you get a card it thematically matches the actions you will soon take" sort of reading. I think it was more of a "this is who you are and you damn well better realize it" kind of reading. Emphasis on the "and you damn well better realize it" - that's why the cards are so violent about it. Banaschar needed to realize he was being an idiot with the Errant. Hedge needed to realize he was a revived ghost for a reason. Sandalath needed to realize she has a responsibility to help the Shake, etc.

Brys already accepted being King of Life, defender of mortals, etc, so he didn't need the card to attack him.

And Tavore didn't get any card, because she can't be marked. Even the gods can't figure out who or what she is.

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.
