Hello,

I would like to know if there a new publication of these books in the near future ? I noticed a ebook version of all the books but I'm looking for physical releases. By now, I got GoTM from one editor (Bantam I think) and DC and MoI from TOR (Library binding). Before purchasing the others, I would like to know if there's a new publication soon or which publication house should I look for (quality, errors, etc)

Thanks a lot!

Both Bantam and Tor mass-market editions are available. Though for books 8,9,10 from Bantam you'll have to look for the Canadian editions if you want to keep the same size of book (I did). The standard UK version of those is slightly bigger

Both TOR and Bantam, share the same artwork, the same content, and form book four onwards (of the mass market paperback editions) share the exact same font etc, so for example page 10 of one edition is exactly page 10 of the other.

It's really just a matter of personal preference, the Bantam editions I've found look slightly nicer, thicker cover and embossed names etc, some people find them too stiff though with the spines tending to crack.

The TOR editions I found to be easier to read, since they're more flexible and they're usually a bit cheaper. They tend to be abit thinner as a result of American editions user different paper stock, which makes it that bit easier to hold.

That said, I went with Bantam so the ICE ones would match in size/format. As I said, it's just down to preference. I reckon that as the UK mass market paperbacks go out of print they will release them in the larger B format to match Toll the Hounds onwards.

TOR also do a trade paperback, but the covers will not match, featuring a mix of the new artwork and TOR's old artwork by Todd Lockwood

Hope this helps!

Thanks!

I would like to have all the same format... So since it's at the fourth book, that's probably why my 3 first books aren't the same.

Any ideas where I could find the same edition across the Canada? Even Amazon don't have all the books...

When I looked on amazon.ca they all seemed to be there, make sure you've clicked "see all formats and editions". There will be two mass market paperbacks, the Tor one, which might be the default and the Bantam.

The Bantam one, is a dollar or two more expensive. They're all there, just use the drop down menu to choose the edition you're after.

Actually, I would like to have all the books in the same publication house and with Amazon, I can't say always if it's TOR or Bantam. Maybe it's not possible after all...

Nevermind, I found a way;

If I select mass-market, then paperback, then I have access to TOR edition in mass-market edition. When I choose "All edition", I don't have access to TOR edition. Really weird.

Well, let's spend 70$

When you choose "see all editions and formats" there's separate drop downs for each format paperback, MMPB etc.

Glad you found the editions you're after.

Thanks

Actually, I can't find the Book Nine in the TOR Edition. And some others are back-ordered.

Maybe I could be more lucky if I buy them directly in the States in a library.

Book Depository actually tends to have more choice than Amazon.

Try this:
http://www.bookdepos...n/9780765348869

It's free worldwide shipping too, so location is irrelevant, I use it a lot.

Aye but it's stil less expensive on Amazon.

Though I found a listing on Ebay of all HC books, I bid on it though I'm expecting that the final bid might be skyrocket :-) Still, I can dream a little.

How much would you pay for the complete collection in Hardcover ?

I suppose how much you're willing to pay is subjective.

I got the first 6 Bantam trade paperbacks and the last 4 four in hardcover, all in great condition for around £3/$5 each, so 50 USD all in.

I managed to get a brand new Return of the Crimson Guard and Stonewielder together for a tenner, it just depends really. I've seen some of the books go for ridiculous prices though.

Personally, I'm holding off buying any complete hardcover set until there's one that matches and isn't the ridiculously expensive. albeit beautiful, Subterranean Press editions.

I've been outbid again ;)

It seems the GotM is smaller than the other ones.

I would love to see a new reprint of hardcovers. I still have the first 3 books, haven't started MoI yet.
