I'm not calling you a liar Mark, I would never do that, but Amazon doesn't lie to me, Amazon loves me, all hail Amazon, Amazon is Amazon

You seem to be getting a different price to me and the other folk I've asked to check it.

Could it be something like a hidden VAT?

Amazon must already be pricing in brexit related price increases in Northern Ireland.

The plot thickens - now I have widened my search I am finding a small number of Brits who are seeing the price as £20.95 - it seems likely to be some confusion over their location, but their addresses are UK so why Amazon should treat them as being overseas I don't know. Have asked my publisher to look at it.

Solved it. Amazon, breaking a bunch of rules, are also listing the US copy on UK Amazon.

If you're seeing £20.95 you're looking at the Ace edition that needs to be shipped from America.

You want the Voyager edition: https://www.amazon.c...75835042&sr=8-1

Hopefully Amazon can be told to take the US listing down.

Huh, I just noticed you've put out one full novel per year - not including all the other stuff - since 2011. Not bad Mark.

So is it "naked money fights with the Mrs" kind of $$$ or are you still doing the day job? I notice the options aren't giving you much. ;)
Maybe after GoT and if WoT makes phat lootz maybe Hollywood et al may come calling with actual cash money instead of options. These days the streaming companies seem to be a better bet.

Part of his day job is caring for his child who has significant disabilities. Lawrence is rocking it every single day and it's extremely nice to see his work, joy, and push for a better world be met with tons of people buying his books.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

I finished up the book last night and it was a great ending to a great series. The way Mark weaves the plot and timelines together is masterful.

The books are quite a bit different to his other works, total page count for all 3 combed is around 700 pages so they are very tight with the story/plot.

Definitely a forum recommend, you could easily get through all three over Christmas.

Now for some finer points:

Plot Spoilers…

Spoiler

I'd love to read more books in this setting.

Just finished Josiah Bancroft, the heartfelt thank you to Mark caught me by surprise, I didn't realise the blog off had a hand to play in Bancroft's success

We even have a "Senlin safety net" arrangement now in the hopes of avoiding such a fine book not making the final in future!

(the blogger who had Senlin Ascends had another book that he loved just a tiny fraction more - he spent a long time agonising about it and put Path of Flames into the final - so Senlin Ascends as cut as a semi-finalist)

It was fun. I liked it.

My review: https://www.goodread...show/1796605204

But I **LOVED** Senlin Ascends (& the next two books)

My review: https://www.goodread...show/1722412925

They are completely different things though.

I'm loving Books of Babel too. He openly credits you Mark for getting him off the ground. Great to see authors supporting each other.
