I thought this was an interesting respons regarding if he looks at the forums anymore:

"I look in from time to time. Was very upset with Pat's (mis)treatment of Assail and the bandwagon that followed. I think Pat's never forgiven me for Crack'd Pot Trail (or my getting pissed about his spoilering Toll the Hounds in his review). For what it's worth, I just read Assail and think it Cam's best to date. Beautiful writing start to finish."

It saddens me that if I ever get to meet Steven, who is quite frankly simply a hero of mine, I'm just going to be thinking "don't bring up the whole "could/couldn't care less" thing, don't do it."

I won't of course, I'll be badgering him about when he's writing a new series based solely around Hedge until he asks me to leave.
Captain of Team Quick Ben. Also teaboy.

I'm currently reading Assail, about halfway through. I absolutely agree that it's ICE's best-written work. I haven't yet looked in on the Assail forum in order to avoid spoilers, but saddened to hear that it hasn't been getting a great reception.
"I think I've made a terrible error of judgement."
